Calling Deaf and Disabled residents of Hammersmith and Fulham! Remove barriers in housing services

Hammersmith & Fulham Council would like disabled people who live in the borough to work with us to develop a new way forward on housing for disabled people. This exciting work aims to tailor the Council’s Housing services towards the needs of local disabled people.

The Council is the largest social landlord in the borough.  We want to develop a new housing strategy in Hammersmith & Fulham. We want it to be based on what you actually need as disabled residents, rather than what the Council thinks you need. So we are holding a number of focus groups to hear your views as disabled people.

To register your interest in taking part, please contact Labab Lubab on 020 8753 4203 or via e-mail at labab.lubab@lbhf.gov.uk. Places are limited so please make contact by Monday 28th August.

We would like your views as disabled people on:

  • access to the Council’s housing services
  • The Council as a landlord, including Housing Management and Adaptations services
  • How the Council can work together with disabled people to develop future policies and services

Tara Flood, Chair of Hammersmith & Fulham Disabled People’s Commission, encouraged disabled people to join the focus group. Tara said, “the Housing Strategy for Disabled People focus groups are an opportunity for our voices, ideas and concerns to be at the heart of the Council’s future plans for accessible housing and the adaptations services.”

Please contact Labab Lubab to register your interest in taking part.
